Australian Exchange 2009/2010 for Transition Year Students

In recent years a small number of our boys along with girls from St. Louis High School have exchanged with their counterparts for approximately three weeks.

For Transition year 2009/2010 the Australians will come to Ireland in September/October and we will make the trip in April/May..

The interest shown by the 3rd years in the proposed Australian exchange has been very strong and it is great to see such enthusiasm for the programme. However, only three Australian boys are participating  and therefore our hands our tied with regard to numbers who can exchange.

As available places are so liimited, and in fairness to all our applicants a lottery has been arranged with the boys which will take place in the near future.

It is certainly a great opportunity to experience Australian life. While in Australia the boys will attend school in Girton and live with a host family.

All arrangements will have to be made with the corresponding host family and significant costs for parents will have to be considered with regard to airfares and other out of pocket expenses.
